Clear Ground clears right-of-way corridors, preps solar sites, trenches and installs erosion controls for utilities, cooperatives and developers in Texas. Brush clearing runs $2,000–$5,200 per acre. Trenching runs $5–$40 per linear foot. Most jobs start 1–3 weeks after approval. We do not do energized line-clearance work.
We do not perform energized line-clearance work. That takes crews qualified under OSHA 1910.269 and ANSI Z133, and we are not one. Our work is ground-level clearing, access, trenching and site work, done where your utility's vegetation and safety rules allow it.
Four scopes for energy and utility work
We are a compact site-work crew with our own fleet. Bigger jobs add rented equipment. If a job needs another crew, the bid names it.
Right-of-way clearing
Brush, cedar and mesquite mulched in place along transmission, distribution and pipeline corridors. Ground-level work only. Priced $2,000–$5,200 per acre by density.
Solar site prep
Clearing, collector and conduit trenching, and erosion control on Texas solar and battery storage sites. The grading contractor keeps large-scale grading.
Trenching and repair digs
Conduit, collector and utility trenches from $5–$40 per linear foot. We photograph and scan open trench before backfill.
Recurring maintenance (MSA)
Repeat clearing cycles and erosion control checks under one agreement, with photo-logged inspections after each visit.
What we do not do
Storm response is limited by our size. We answer the same business day and mobilize as crews and equipment free up. We do not hold standby crews on retainer.
Erosion control and the TCEQ permit
Sites disturbing one acre or more (or part of a larger common plan) need coverage under the TCEQ Construction General Permit TXR150000; sites of five acres or more also file a Notice of Intent. Final stabilization under that permit means uniform vegetative cover of at least 70% of the native background cover. We install and maintain BMPs to the SWPPP that your engineer or owner prepares, and we keep a dated photo log of every inspection.
We prepare the seedbed. Seeding and hydromulch are subcontracted to a seeding specialist.
